H.T.M.S. China

Profile

As the latest (but not least) member of the HTMS family, the Shanghai-based office will start its operations in autumn 2006. The office is responsible for sales and marketing services in China and South East Asia. HTMS China can rely upon an extensive local network within the tourism industry establishment in order to secure the successful conduct of its clients activities in the Region.

Market in brief

The sheer size of its population (1.3 billion) and its fast growing rates of economic development (9.5% per year) will make of China a hub for international inbound and outbound travelling in the coming years. The higher disposable incomes of as many as 200 millions people and easing concerns about safety supported the increasing demand among Chinese for international travel. Strategically located in East Asia, Shanghai also offers easy access to many of the Asian regional key players in the tourism industry.

Daniele Solari

Daniele Solari, a Shanghai resident European, with his flawless Mandarin accent, is the appointed manager of this first Asian operation of HTMS. Daniele graduated in the UK then he also achieved significant experience as an hotelier in Italy before moving to China where he managed the representative office of a Pan-European inbound tour operator. During his long-term stay in China, Daniele has acquired excellent knowledge of the country, its culture and the market.
